It’s true that most existing pet food options contain the right balance of energy and nutrients for a dog to live — but we believe there’s a big difference between just living and living well. As pet obesity, cancer, and diabetes rise at alarming rates, there is a growing body of scientific evidence that points to the health benefits of a fresh food diet, and to the dangers of many additives added to commercial pet food, mainly to preservative or booster purposes. Whether your dog is a picky eater, grappling with a particular health issue, or perfectly healthy and willing to eat just about anything, we’ve seen first-hand the positive impact of feeding fresh on our own puppy and our customers’ doggies.

HUNDELICIOUS is registered with Agroscope-CH, which issued our animal feeding license. We follow the dietary standards established by the Nutritional Guidelines For Complete and Complementary Pet Food for Cats and Dogs (FEDIAF, 2020), as well the Nutrient Requirements of Dogs and Cats (NRC, 2006). We are proud that our meals are tested on humans (and are enthusiastically approved by our pets).

All of our meals are prepared with Swiss products and provided by local suppliers from the Rümlang area where we find high-quality ingredients. When necessary, we supplement the food with high-quality vitamins and minerals along with essential amino and fatty acids. We do this to fulfil each dog’s unique nutritional recommendations and requirements. We DON’T ever use preservatives, artificial flavouring, or synthetic dyes. We also play a fantastic soundtrack in our kitchen to keep the cook especially inspired.

Please do! While many vets disagree on the food trends we see coming and going, just about every vet agrees that fresh, nutritionally-balanced food is great for dogs. Our recipes are formulated to fully cover your dog’s daily needs. Please feel free to consult your vet and get back to us with the specific advice regarding your pet’s individual needs.

Yes. We don’t use any preservatives, but we make feeding fresh extremely convenient. Food arrives in compact sealed packs that can be stored in both the refrigerator or freezer, and you can feed directly from the fridge (no need to reheat!). Your first order will include a simple guide on how to handle the food properly. Since we pre-portion and customize your plan, we never send too much, and you don’t have to worry about anything going to waste.

The meals can be kept refrigerated for a maximum of 3 days. Once defrosted, don’t freeze them again. They can be kept frozen for a maximum of 3 months. Always check the date on the label before serving.

Plans start at CHF 6/day for small animals and CHF 8/day for medium-sized to big dogs and includes free shipping.
